Big Babies

Okay today is sono day so time for a quick update. First, the babies and the mommy all look great. They measured the babies today and we have some big babies, okay so big is a bit of an overstatement but they are a little above "normal". I am just take this time to call my girls "big" without it being a bad thing.

Logan - 2 lbs 9 oz
Lizy - 2lbs 10 oz
Madi - 2lbs 12 oz

There has been a little more action around here the last week or so. AJ's contractions have increased and she is having at least one, sometimes two Terb Shots a day. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but its not a good thing either. Its more of an expected complication of being very, very pregnant. The terb is not all that fun, it usually causes her heart to race for about 2 hours and she gets a little shaky. This has become her new worst part of the day. Even with the increased contractions the doctors are still confident we can go at least a couple more weeks, which is great new for the babies, bad news for AJ. Ultimately though she wants whats best for the babies so a few more weeks of misery here we come...side note mean old nurse just came in for yet another Terb shot, that's two today.

Well that's all for now, but I will leave you with this. I have a very funny story from the last week that neither Amy-Jo or myself would like to tell. I can be bought though so the first person to send some Bud Light my way gets to here the goods. Take care and thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like you all are doing great! Keep up the good work, Amy-Jo!
Have they entertained the possibility of using a Terbutaline pump that delivers a basal rate of the med and gives boluses at scheduled times? That might be better than getting the shots a couple times of day. The effects (heart beating out of your chest, hands shaking like a leaf on a tree, etc) might not be so noticeable with the pump. Just a thought.
Thanks for the update!

Thank you so much for the update. I love it when I have "fresh" news for the Bible study group on Tuesday nights. Yeah for the babies. They are getting so big. Praying so hard for you, Amy to be as comfortable as you can while they are in there pushing and stretching and growing. Did you hear about the octuplets born here in CA! Ranged from 1 lb 8oz to 3lbs 4oz. 6 boys, 2 girls. Baby #8 was a surprise-doctors thought there were only(??) 7 babies! Whew!!God bless them.
And God bless all of you. Brandon, if we were closer Christine and I would bring you and Amy anything you needed-so spill-what's the story!
Blessings to you all,
Joanne

YAY!!! Big babies are always a good thing! Well, maybe not for AJ ;) but that is great news to hear. I am so glad that you all are hanging in there and letting those little ones cook. Brandon, I wish I could fullfil your request but I have a feeling that the post office would frown upon me sending beer through the mail. HAHA Continued thoughts and prayers heading your way from Virginia

Wow those are big babes!! I'm sorry you have to go through all that Terb. I had two shots of it when I was pregnant with my twins and it is such a strange, kinda scary feeling. Unfortunately it made me contract more. They ended up using the mag. on me and that calmed things down. After that they tried Procardia (a pill) and it really helped. Good luck. You're doing a great job "cooking" those babies.
